St. Mary’s Secondary School – Handed Over

Kilcawley Construction are delighted to have successfully handed over St. Mary’s Secondary School.

The new St Mary’s Secondary School building provides state-of-the-art facilities for 650 pupils. It has 25 classrooms for teaching a variety of subjects, designed over two levels in a horseshoe shape, alongside flexible hall spaces and sports facilities on the ground floor.

Designed to comply with the Nearly Zero Energy Building standards, the school is an exemplar project that supplies its own power via photovoltaic panels. The design was also based on the updated, reconfigured and improved Department of Education classroom layouts and schedule of accommodation to achieve enhanced flexibility and innovation in the use of space.
