Description

Design and construction of a Housekeeping and Technical Services Building and yard at Centre Parcs Holiday Village. The 1500m2 building comprises a structural steel frame on a reinforced concrete ground slab. The cladding is constructed of a Kingspan Quadcore Karrier system comprising of coated metal sheets with an insulated core supported off a proprietary secondary framing system with an external heat treated timber cladding. The Karrier system allows the building to exceed the required U-values while also supporting the timber façade that will allow the building to blend into its natural woodland surroundings. The HKTS building forms a vital part of the new €250m Centre Parcs Longford Forest development. The building will accommodate a 22 – person open office area, the main server room for monitoring all the mechanical plant in the village as well as laundry cleaning and storage facilities again serving the entire village.
