Kilcawley Construction have been awarded the contract to replace the main hospital boilers at the LUH and St. Conal’s campuses.
The project include the provision of temporary boilers, the provision of new boilers and the refurbishment of existing boilers. Kilcawley Construction will also carry out fabric upgrades to the existing boiler houses and new gas mains infrastructure on both campuses. The upgrade works will result in a CO2 reduction of 24.5%and a fuel consumption reduction of 20.6% for the Client. Works will provide for current and future thermal energy demands for both campuses.
All works take place in a live hospital environment with existing services being maintained at all times.
Kilcawley Construction look forward to working with the Client, the HSE and the Design Team comprising Rhatigan Architects, Delap & Waller Services Consultant, D. Fallon Consulting Civil & Structural Engineers and Sammon Quantity Surveyors.
This multi-million project is due to commence on site in late Q1 2026.
