ESB Galway 110kV GIS Substation – Handed Over

We’re delighted to have recently handover this new substation building to our valued Client ESB on their existing substation site in Ballybane, Galway City. The development consisted of the construction of a new twelve bay 110kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) building located entirely within the southern portion of the existing Galway 110kV Substation. The 700m2 steel framed GIS building will soon become a vital part of Galway’s electrical backbone infrastructure.
