Earlier this week the IT Sligo final year BSc. Hons. Construction Project Management class attended a site visit at our Athlone Garda Divisional Headquarters Project.
We hope the students found it beneficial to see how a large complex demolition, refurbishment and extension project is delivered as well as the challenges that have to be overcome on a daily basis to even get materials to site due to the highly constrained town centre location.
We’re delighted to continue our ongoing support of IT Sligo where we sponsored the Governing Body Medal awarded to the student achieving the highest grade in the (Faculty of Engineering and Design) BSc. in Construction Project Management, Level 8 (full-time). The awards were presented during the conferring ceremonies held in IT Sligo on Thursday 1st November.
A big thank you to Cyril Crosbie, Enda Flynn and Martin McIntyre as well as Dr. Paul Tansey and Gary McGinty from IT Sligo for taking the time to organise and supervise the visit.
