Sligo Grammar School recently held its annual Mock Interview Evening for Leaving Certificate students on Wednesday 3rd December last.

As part of the event, students selected a career or role they are interested in pursuing and prepared a cover letter and CV tailored to that position.

The Parents Association invited local professionals and parents to conduct the mock interviews, giving students valuable experience in a real-world interview setting.

Engineers from Kilcawley Construction met with several promising engineering candidates over the course of the evening. They provided constructive feedback, shared insights into the profession, and encouraged students to consider future careers in engineering, construction, and project management.

We would like to thank Sligo Grammar School for inviting Kilcawley Construction to take part.

This year, Kilcawley Construction was proud to take part in Relay For Life Sligo on September 13th, in memory of our late CEO Brendan Henry, who sadly lost his life to cancer in December 2019.

Participating under our team name Brendan’s Anglers, we were honoured to walk in his memory and in solidarity with everyone affected by cancer.

Thanks to the incredible generosity and support of our colleagues, families, friends, and the wider community, we are proud to share that our team raised over €50,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.

Relay For Life is a special event that unites communities across Ireland — celebrating survivors, remembering loved ones, and working together toward a future free from cancer.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported our efforts this year and helped make such a positive impact.

Kilcawley Construction are delighted to announce that we have completed Phase 3 of the Cranmore Regeneration Project.

Pictured above is Kilcawley Constructions Dave Morey (PM) handing over the Keys to the final house to Sligo County Council on Sep 09th 2025. Representatives from Sligo County Council, Ratigan Architects, Albert Strain & Associates, Patrick McCaul Environmental Consulting Engineers were also present for the final handover. The success of this project is largely down too weekly/daily collaboration between the Kilcawley Construction, the Architect and Client. This project commenced in January 2024 and was scheduled for completion in late November 2025, like most projects it was not without its challenges, but due to the collective effort from all parties, this project was handed over some two and a half months ahead of schedule, which speaks for itself.

This marks the end of the Cranmore Regeneration project which has greatly improved the standard of houses along with a fresh new look and feel to the area and we are happy to have delivered two Phases of the Cranmore Regeneration Project for Sligo County Council. We would like to thank the design team and client for all their efforts in delivering this project and we wish them well on their next venture, hopefully it’s as successful at this one.
