The project comprised of the demolition of the existing retail unit at Hyde Bridge Sligo to accommodate the construction of a three storey piled foundation reinforced concrete structure consisting of ground floor retail units and sixteen two and three bedroom apartments on the upper floor levels.
The key feature of the project was the restricted site access. The site is surrounded by buildings and the Garavouge River with limited street frontage on to Stephen Street. The building was designed to maximize the river frontage. This involved cantilevering the apartments over the river walkway.
