The Céide Fields Interpretive Centre is a much acclaimed building which has received Ireland’s Most Prestigious National Awards.
The building is unique in construction, a reinforced concrete stone clad pyramid structure, part set in to the surrounding countryside. A panoramic viewing platform both inside and outside the roof of the glass topped pyramid shaped building can be accessed internally or externally. It affords dramatic views of the sea and surrounding landscape. The view platform, situated on the cliff some 300ft above sea level, provides dramatic views of the sea below and the cliff faces.
The Céide Fields received the Construction Excellence Award, RIAI Triennial Gold Medal First Prize, Ireland Build of the Year Architects Award, Award for Excellence in Architectural Design, European Architectural and Natural Heritage Award, RIAI Regional Architectural Awards, Interpret Ireland Exhibition Design Award.
