The project consisted the upgrade of the existing facility within the existing plant.
This included the total strip out of the existing building. The gutted area was then refurbished to form a new facility to include the full upgrade of all services.
The works involved the installation of new process drainage which required passing through the adjoining manufacturing facility. This was achieved by the use of directional drilling.
The key feature of the project was access gained through the operational production corridor. This was achieved by setting up temporary air locks, garbing up all operatives and wrapping all incoming and outgoing materials and waste.
Work was carried out with a high degree of co-ordination and co-operation with the management. During the construction phase the plant management monitored air quality on a daily basis and all throughout the construction process. No interruption occurred to the plant manufacturing process.
