The Dooncarton Radar Station is a six storey “Round Tower” concrete insitu reinforced building and cladded in local granite.
The building is situated some 350M above sea level with a distinct dome roof which has become a landmark. The works also involved the construction of 1Km access road which involved large bulk excavation of peat and transportation to low lying areas.
The project received the chartered Institute of building Award in Construction Management
