New-build ESB substations completed by Kilcawley Construction to date include the following,
- Carrowbeg 110kV Substation, Westport, Co. Mayo
- Arva 220/110kV Substation, Co. Cavan
- Arigna 110kV Substation, Co. Leitrim
- Tonroe 110kV Substation, Ballaghaderreen. Co. Mayo
- Dunfirth 110kV Substation, Enfield Co. Meath
- Kilroe 20 MVA 110KV/MV GIS Substation, Clonsaugh, Co. Dublin
Each project comprises the construction of new 38kV, 220/110 kV, 110kV and 20 MVA substations. The works involve bulk excavations, construction of control buildings, basements, transformer bunds, traffo bunds, miscellaneous bases, earth grid, site drainage, concrete, compound roads, access roads, site fencing, site stoning and all associated site works.
