Kilcawley Construction were responsible for the Design & Build of the civil works required for the construction of the 38kV sub-station control building as part of Ballymartin Wind Farm, a Bord Gais development.
All works were completed within a very short programme, with no reported incidents or accidents and works included,
• In-situ concrete raft foundation, in-situ concrete cable trench for ESB room, control room and switch gear room
• Galvanised steel external door
• GRP cable trench cover
• Insulated block-work walls
• Prefabricated roof truss with slate finish
• Associated rain water drainage to soak-away
• Installation of Station Compound Palisade Fence and gates and Station Roadway
• Covering the Compound Area with broken stone
• The installation of the earth grid in the Compound
Kilcawley Construction also acted as PSCS for the works the necessary control measures, design assumptions and risks were communicated to the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) for inclusion in the safety and health plan.
