Our Team

Tom Kenny - Chairman
Tom graduated from UCG in 1968. He was charted by IEI in 1985 and elected a fellow in 1990. Tom spent a number of years with some of Ireland’s leading building and civil engineering contractors before joining Kilcawley Construction in 1980 as managing director. He held the role until 2006, after which he took over the role of chairman. Tom has been involved in all projects and is particularly proud of the Johnston Central Library and Farnham Civil Offices for Cavan County Council in his home town of Cavan.

Brendan Henry - Managing Director
Brendan graduated in construction management from Sligo IT in 1977. He joined Kilcawley Construction in 1980 after working in Dublin for 3 years and studying in Bolton Street College. Brendan concentrated on contract management and in 1995 became construction director. Throughout this time he was responsible for the introduction of the company’s safety, quality and environmental systems. He has been involved in all the company’s major projects. He is particularly proud of the Ceide Fields’ Visitor Centre and Dooncarton Radar Station, both award winning projects.

Ann McGowan - Financial Director
Ann joined the accounts department of Kilcawley Construction in 1984 and over the years gained extensive experience in all aspects of accounting. In 2007 Ann joined the board of directors as financial director and has overall responsibility for the company’s financial operations. Ann is a member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.

  Vincent Lee - Commercial/ Surveying Director
Vincent has a degree in Quantity Surveying and joined Kilcawley Construction in 1999 having worked for 8 years in Dublin as a senior quantity surveyor with one of Ireland’s top 10 construction companies. Vincent is now responsible for commercial/surveying operation within the company. In 2009 Vincent joined the board of directors.

Our People

Kilcawley Construction has a pool of professional managers, engineers, and quantity surveyors. It also has a large number of skilled workers, many of whom have in excess of 25 years with the company. Human resources are our most valuable asset. The staff and operatives have a formidable combination of technical knowledge, operational skills and practical experience.
