Kilcawley Construction Environmental Policy
Kilcawley Construction, in line with its Quality Management System, has integrated Environmental Systems into its operations by way of the following:
- To consider and integrate environmental considerations into each capital expenditure programme by assessing any impact a project may have on the environment prior to any approval
- To comply with relevant legal requirements and ensure that works will be carried out in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions
- To ensure Site Management Plans are complied with and reviewed consistently
- To ensure an effective environmental monitoring program is ongoing at all our sites and that a programme of corrective and preventative measures is in place and continually monitored
- To save energy by constantly reviewing and optimising all methods of operation
- To use water economically
- To prevent any accidental pollution of the waterways by carrying out a programme of Environmental Risk Assessment
- To inform promptly the relevant Government Agencies, company staff and members of the public in case of any incident that may create a risk
- To use the environment as a tool for dialogue with company staff with regard to policy, projects, training requirements and necessary awareness
- To ensure our suppliers and sub-contractors adopt practices consistent with our Environmental Policies
- To make available to the public this policy and post it in all work locations.
Driven by Senior Management and representatives on site, Kilcawley Construction achieves the above by:
- Controlling their operations
- Implementation of action programmes resulting from periodical environmental audits
- Control of potential emissions and nuisances and taking swift corrective action in case of any malfunction or accident
- Optimisation of the reprocessing and recycling of any by-product in order to reach a minimum level of waste
