Kilcawley Construction recognises the importance of BIM integration as a vital tool in the construction process, from the initial feasibility stage, through to completion. As such, we have embraced Building Information Modelling (BIM) with ongoing implementation throughout all our divisions, reinforcing our commitment to achieving ‘Excellence in Construction’ and to keep abreast of the ever changing standards and cutting edge technologies within the construction industry which will benefit our clients.
Building Information Modelling (BIM) enables buildings to be designed collaboratively, and tested virtually, before a sod is turned or block laid. The client, designers, contractor, specialists, fabricators, manufacturers and suppliers can all access a single 3D model in a manner which focuses on achieving the best value from inception to construction and beyond, throughout the whole lifecycle of the project. Kilcawley Construction are partnered with some of the foremost and progressive BIM design practices in Ireland and the UK and are developing BIM enabled supply chains in accordance with BS PAS1192.
The BIM process innovatively compliments our ‘Lean Construction’ ethic, through collaborative design and development of building information in a virtual BIM environment. This combined with greater risk management, clash detection, reduced waste and value engineering, results in greater efficiency and cost savings. We embrace the opportunity to deliver tangible results and exceptional value with increased productivity, to our clients.
Kilcawley Construction have developed their BIM documentation, systems and processes in accordance with BS PAS 1192 and are actively engaging with leading UK & Irish Industry BIM representative groups & networks, BIM hubs & resources and Universities.
